Bible School was held at night at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church the first week of June. The title was "Discovering Jesus, Under The Sea." We had 15 children enrolled in Bible School. We learned God created all the animals, the Parable of the Lost Sheep, the Lion of Judah, and Daniel and the Lion's Den." The children enjoyed singing, doing crafts each night and playing games outside. Friday night we had commencement followed by a meal for everyone.
Chestnut Grove Baptist Church is holding Bible Study every Wednesday night at 6:30PM. We will be studying the book of Revelation; class is being led by our Pastor, Rev. Daniel Packard.
Jones Chapel
Jones Chapel held the Annual Fishing Tournament at Larry Watson’s pond the last Saturday of May. Awards and prizes were given out by Dennis and Christal Parker.
During the month of May, Jones Chapel’s boys and girls competed to raise money for Rise Against Hunger. Since there was only about $7.00 difference in the amount raised by each team, they were all declared winners and received medals. Total collected was $1,983.44.

Mulberry Grove
Mark & Marshall
The biggest highlights for Mulberry Grove this month were VBS and our Youth Mission Camp. VBS was a fun week of learning “Smore about Jesus”. We also celebrated Father’s Day at the River. We enjoyed worship and a cookout at James River State Park
This year instead of taking the kids on a mission trip we hosted a mission camp at home. The youth worked on various projects around our community like building a ramp, yardwork, splitting firewood, and cleaning gutters. The youth worked hard to love on our communtiy members. On Friday we celebrated them with a trip to Sky Zone to celebrate their hard work. The week served as a powerful reminder that mission begins at home.
Sharon
Sharon participated in providing 200 Graduation cards for this year’s graduates at Buckingham County High School.
Sharon also held a one-day Vacation Bible School on June 13th, we are so excited to share that we had 11 children attend from 2 and a half years old to 11 years old. Our theme was from Mathew 6:33, “Seek first the kingdom of God”, Pastor Jeff Arthur was the Director. We had a bouncy house, had a treasure hunt to teach them about the church and we sang songs, played games had Pizza for lunch and made crafts. It was a wonderful time!! Please pray for God to help guide us in bringing more young families to church in our community.
